The waterworks really flowed on the penultimate episode of Dancing with the Stars on Monday – and the Willis family was responsible for most of tears.

In her rehearsal package, Rumer Willis broke down while paying tribute to her partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

“I was so scared my whole life to try anything or to fail,” Willis said, her eyes welling with tears. “And you didn’t really ever let me. I’ve never really had anybody who’s believed in me like that.”

Her father, actor Bruce Willis, also got a little glassy-eyed while watching his daughter perform during the finals opposite Noah Galloway and Riker Lynch. Willis’ sister Tallulah posted a picture of their emotional dad on Instagram, along with the message, “Look at this cutie tearing up from my insanely magical [sister’s] dance. We are all so proud of you Rue.” In addition to earning perfect scores on Monday, Willis danced to “Toxic,” a song she covered that featured Chmerkovskiy on the violin.

Willis’ performance even inspired Ashton Kutcher, the ex-boyfriend of her mom Demi Moore, to encourage his 16.9 million followers on Twitter to vote for her.

But no one had Willis’ back more than her partner Chermkovskiy, who explained to PEOPLE why he’s pushed the singer/actress so hard this season.

“I love and care for her abilities to too much to ever let her slide on anything,” he said. “My hardass-ness comes from that. Every moment I have to encourage her to push to be the best that she can.”

As for her comment about how Chermkovskiy believed in her, he added, “I’m glad she appreciated [me].”
