Well this kind of seems like a no-brainer to us!
Little League pitching phenom Mo’ne Davis was just named Sports Kid of the Year by Sports Illustrated Kids, and we’re guessing it was a pretty easy decision!
The 13-year-old caught the country’s attention earlier this year when she led her team to a third place finish at the Little League World Series and became the first girl EVER to throw a shutout in the tournament!

The exciting news comes just months after Mo’ne became the first little leaguer to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated, and she’s gained some pretty high profile fans this year, like Michelle Obama!
In fact, FLOTUS even took the time to congratulate Mo’ne, tweeting out:
Congrats to @MoneDavis11 on becoming the @SIKids’ 2014 #SportsKid of the Year! You knocked it out of the park for girls everywhere. –mo

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!
To say Mo’ne Davis had a big year would be a HUGE understatement, and we have a feeling this wont be the last time we hear her name!
