Simon Cowell, 58, who has been a judge on the X Factor, American Idol and now in America’s Got Talent is similarly as choose with his interior design as he is with talents.
Being a critic that he is, he seems not to take it as it is, or go for anything below his taste when it comes to houses. In fact, in one of his statement, he said that he is great at design and had he not pursued music, then that was his next choice.
He was therefore very choosy when selecting those working on his house, and among them was Match & White, which is a duo in London that had helped Simon with his bar sometime back.
The duo and other designers worked on redesigning Simon’s Beverly Hills home, which he purchased from Jennifer Lopez and is located in the Flats.
As Simon wanted, the house was redesigned in a monochromatic aesthetic way, an accurate reflection of Simon.
On the interior, the duo created an elusive art deco-style. They incorporated it with black and white stones and lacquered woods.
They grouped the sofas in the living room with armchairs that create a fantastic compartment for iPhone chargers, or maybe a perfect keeping place for Simon’s pack of cigarettes.
The master suite is undoubtedly one of the most amazing places in the house, and Simon feels the same way judging from what he once said, that they spend a lot of time in their bedroom and having breakfast in bed is one thing they’ve always fancied
The bedroom floor is covered with a splash gray carpet, and it features a fireplace. The French doors of the room add to the charm, and they lead out to a private terrace which has a fire pit. The house has six complete bathrooms.
The redesigning did not just happen in the interior alone, some of it was also done on the outside. The pool was given a new design and vegetables were planted on the grounds. Simon once commented that when he got into the house, it was so uncomfortable and the garden was more of a desert.
Additionally, the house has a high technology media theatre, the start of the art gym, a wholly furnished luxury spa; has wet steam rooms and a lap pool. Also, can’t forget about the solarium and side-by-side massage tables. The home has a separate live-in butler’s and maid’s quarters.
Lastly is the tight security system worth $1.0 million that reads features like the fingerprint and retina.
Without any doubt, the house reflects on the renowned critic’s taste and preference.
