Nick Jonas Reveals He's “Single” but That Doesn't Stop Him From Talking About Kate Hudson.

Nick Jonas and Kate Hudson have been spotted out and about several times over the past year, but it wasn't always clear whether they were just friends or maybe something more.

Hudson was previously engaged to Matt Bellamy while the former Jonas Brothers crooner dated Olivia Culpo for a couple of years. Since then, they've both been subject of many romance rumors, but Jonas finally sets the record straight on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday when the host asks him flat out if he's single or not.

“You're really single right now,” host Ellen DeGeneres states after discussing his solo Met Gala appearance.

“I really am,” Jonas confirms. “Yeah I am.”

But the Finding Dory star wasn't going to stop there! In a not-so-subtle transition, Degeneres jokingly asks, “So how's Kate Hudson doing? She's good?”

“She's great,” Jonas responds, holding back an ear-to-ear grin and a chuckle. “We had a group dinner the night before the Met Gala. Lots of people and she was there and I was there.”

Trying to really convince the afternoon talk show host that he and the Mother's Day actress have a platonic relationship, Jonas adds, “It was a group.”

DeGeneres, however, didn't really believe him. “Uh-huh,” she says. “Whatever.”

The “Jealous” crooner also opens up about his tour with Demi Lovato and their decision to cancel their tour stop in North Carolina. “It's an incredibly frustrating situation overall. We are very aware of our strong LGBT community fanbase and the support they've given us and the support we want to give them,” he shares, adding, “and this was a time where I feel like we said we have to make a bold statement, put our foot down and stand firm in something we believe in.

He continues, “It's unfortunate for the fans there and for us because we want to go play as many shows as possible. But in our minds it's the right thing to do, and hopefully our fans will stand united with us.”
