Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook, and while the jury is still out on how “good” FB actually is, it's allowed him to do some real good in the world.
Well, mainly, it brought him TONS of money which he sometimes donates to charitable causes for the betterment of mankind.
The Zuck and his wife Priscilla have just donated $ 25 million to the Centers for Disease Control Foundation, the CDC's charity.
The Facebook founder wants to stop the Ebola outbreak currently devastating West Africa from becoming a long-term crisis like HIV. Mark said:
“These people are on the ground setting up care centers training local staff, identifying Ebola cases and much more.”
Which is why he chose to donate to the CDC. We guess he feels his money will more directly fight Ebola through them.
While $ 25 million is an insane amount of money, he's worth about $ 33 BILLION.

We're pretty sure Zuck could toss a cool $ 500 million at Ebola and potentially solve the problem in a blink of an eye. Okay, it might not be that quick, but $ 500 million would be INSANELY helpful, even for an arbitrary number we just thought up!
We mean, he did just drop $ 100 million on 700 acres of beachfront Hawaiian property for his new mansion, so, you know… $ 25 million looks pretty tiny compared to what he's been throwing around!
