It’s set to be held over three days at the Staples Center from July 29-31.
One of the largest conventions dedicated to K-Pop is going global.
KCON Los Angeles will be held over three days at the Staples Center from July 29-31, while the New York metro area event will be held June 24-25 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Launched in 2012, the convention, which is produced by Seoul-based conglomerate CJ E&M, has grown since it first drew 10,000 fans to Orange County.
Last summer more than 75,000 fans attended KCON USA, which featured nightly concerts with some of the biggest names in K-Pop, including Super Junior, Girls’ Generation and Sistar.
Last year’s iteration also featured a slate of 100-plus programs that included celebrity meet and greets, K-beauty makeup tutorials, Korean cooking classes, K-pop dance lessons and K-drama screenings. This year’s artist lineups have yet to be unveiled.
