If you are a big fan of some Hollywood celebrity, then you might have fancied dating one. What are the chances of that happening? Well, we now live in a tech driven world where you can now connect to the stars with the use of social media sites. Then, there are also the dating apps, which goes on to say that chatting with a celebrity who’s looking for some romance is no longer considered a thing of the past. That is, if she does not happen to go by the name of Charlize Theron.

According to the actress, she is not a big fan of dating apps. She told this on an interview in the Ellen DeGeneres show. She claims that she is not that convinced about all the swiping that’s happening in it and neither is she into the random conversations that often take place in these apps. Maybe she would rather talk in person to the guy she likes in a home bar or something?

Although  she’s very vocal about her aversion to it, she did admit that her friend Chelsea Handler tried to talk her into it, being one of the latest trends and all. The actress confessed that at the Women’s March at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City which happened just this year, Handler introduced Theron to a dating app which was specially made for celebrities.

Theron described how her friend was swiping on the faces of guys with different variations of having no clothes on. She also commented about how they can tell that you don’t like them. She gave this impression that she is confused on how the app works. She also described how you start texting the guys and then the flirting starts. The actress told how she found lines like ‘what’s up sexy’ nothing but awkward.

It seems that she is not the type that you can easily invite to your home bar for a date. Theron says that she prefers old-school dates that are set up by a friend.
