Broccoli joins recently appointed vp for TV Greg Dyke in an ambassadorial role for the organization.
Barbara Broccoli, who together with her brother Michael G. Wilson has produced the last eight Bond films through their Eon Productions banner, has been named vice president for film at BAFTA.
The appointed was made Monday, and sees Broccoli join outgoing BFI chair Greg Dyke — recently named BAFTA's vp for television — and assume an ambassadorial role for the organization. Previous names in the position have included Duncan Kenworthy and Lord David Puttnam.
“With her connections on both sides of the Atlantic, Barbara is well placed to be a brilliant ambassador for BAFTA and I know we'll benefit hugely from her experience and wisdom over the next few years,” said BAFTA chair Anne Morrison. “With Greg Dyke announced recently as our television vice president, we are in good hands for the future.”
